My Go To Travel Cot

When I find a parent hack or product that is a game-changer in the parent-hood, I have to share the love.

If you asked those who know me well, they would confirm that I am a mama who loves to parent on-the-go. Take the littles camping for a month in Hawaii? Yes. Tenting with friends on a spontaneous weekend? Sure. Spend all day at the beach, including nap time? Let’s do it! I absolutely love exploring the world with my children, and parenting in the context of community.

From enjoying a meal with a good friend, to popping out for a coffee, from enjoying date nights kid-free, to parenting with my village, you can count on the fact that my littles have learned to nap on-the-go. And after three babies of my own, you can also count on the fact that I love to try out the best products for making family life on-the-go easier.

This is why I am super excited to introduce you to Phil and Ted’s Traveller Travel Cot. What is it? It’s the perfect travel cot for littles of all ages: from birth into the pre-K world. This 4-in-1 marvel truly does change the game for sleep on-the-go. Whether you’re camping, traveling abroad, staying in a hotel, napping at Grandma’s house, or simply putting baby down for a nap in another room of the house, this travel cot is where it’s at.

Here is why I love Phil and Ted’s Traveller Travel Cot and would recommend investing in it for your baby:

It’s easy enough to set up that ANYONE can do it. I’m talking grandparents, babysitters … even those of us who feel mechanically challenged at times. We’ve all spent an extra twenty minutes in the parking lot before trying to figure out how to fold the stroller so it fits into the trunk, or trying to adjust the car seat setting so that it properly secures baby. Well, the instructions are super simple so there will be no confusion with the set up and take down of this Travel Cot! It only took 3 minutes of my time to set up when I first tried it.

The features are thoughtfully designed to make it ideal for safe baby sleep. There are no pinch points for little (or adult) fingers. The legs pop directly in and pull directly out without even pressing a button. There are hooks at the bottom that keep the mattress in place. The legs minimize movement, making the cot incredibly secure. And the feet have small holes that allow you to peg the cot securely into the ground if needed. The fabric is OEKO-TEX certified. And the mesh is breathable and fits snuggly around the mattress, with no gaps.

It is practical and functional for all ages and stages. The Traveller Travel Cot can become a co-sleeper, a bassinet, an infant pack and play, or a toddler bed. It comes with a self-inflated two-part thermally-insulated mattress and a fitted sheet. It also has a fantastic zippered side that allows for the ease of transitioning your baby from arms to the bed, feeding baby, and comforting baby. The website suggests use from birth to age 4, noting that this is dependent on the size of your child.

It is travel-friendly. It’s compact and light, making it ideal for bringing it along on a short coffee date with a friend or a long family vacation. It weighs a mere 11.5 lbs if bringing all components together, but can be as light as 7.5 lbs. It works well indoors and outdoors.

The drawbacks to the product?

If you’re rushing for naptime, the mattress still needs to inflate. So make sure to set it up as soon as you arrive at the place the nap will be. Other than that, I fully recommend purchasing the Traveller Travel Cot. I’ll be using it all year!

All the love to humans everywhere who are making our lives more enjoyable by creating useful and beautiful products! The Phil and Ted’s Traveller Travel Cot is a true game-changer for parents who love to be on the move, and who appreciate products that last through the ages and stages. Don’t just take my word for it, though - check it out for yourself or find them on Instagram at @phil_and_teds.

Happy travels,

Anna
